Pie Auction at the Wedding!

 Two months ago, Mark & I attended a friend's wedding. While we were there, we got a lot of ideas & inspiration for our own wedding (thanks, Jeremy & Darcie!!!). One of the things we saw while we were there was a pie auction. It was a lot of fun & we LOVED the idea! We can't wait to impliment it at our own wedding! :)

Basically the idea is this: Instead of doing the dirty "dollar dance", the couple asks some of their family & friends to make some amazing, fancy looking cakes, pies, cobblers etc to auction off at their wedding, with the proceeds going to their honeymoon fund. It is a LOT of fun- lots of laughing, challenges, oh's & ah's!

We will be doing this at our wedding. We've asked several of our siblings & friends to make their best desserts for us. We'll display them all in the reception hall. During the reception, Mark's brother (our MC) will do his best impression of an auctioneer, to sell the desserts for us! It will be a great time!

Countdown: One Month!

One month from today,

I will be marrying my BEST friend! :)

 We are SO excited!
The time cannot pass fast enough!
It seems like time is crawling!

We are almost done with wedding planning!
Now all we have to do is finish working on our house!

Looking forward to celebrating
with y'all, in 31 days! :)

Wedding Shower! :)

Last night, the Ritters, my family, the Tornatores & the Summers families hosted a wedding shower for Mark & I. A lot of our family & friends showed up & blessed us tremendously! We had a great time, celebrating with everyone!

The Tornatores catered our dinner (it was delicious!)! The R ladies made some delicious desserts! My sisters made cake pops & cookies... Zipporah, Emma, Lilli, Grandma, Bethany E & Tabitha all took some great photos... Emma did my hair (& did an awesome job!)... The R's, T's & S's all helped us decorate... Mrs S & Sonia mailed out our wedding invitations & designed all the decorations... Thank you to everyone who made this a possibility!

We are so grateful for the love, support, encouragement, friendship & prayers that everyone has given us, as we're starting out this journey together! We have been blessed! God is Faithful! :)
